How does Ultrasound Lipolysis Work?
The frequency of Transdermal Ultrasound Lipolysis causes fat cells to open, spilling their contents of fat, fluid, and toxins. The fat cells are something like little water balloons that the sound waves make a small opening in, so that the contents leak out.
Clinical experience has shown that the treated fat cells will remain smaller or non-functional indefinitely. This means that as long as the person does not overindulge in calories, stop exercising, or increase other factors that result in weight gain, the results will remain indefinitely.
The liquefied fats are drained through the lymphatic system, and eliminated from the body - just the same as fat leaves your body through dieting or exercise. The result is reshaping your body contour by a few inches each week.
Is It Right For Me?
Transdermal Ultrasound Lipolysis is for men and women with areas of unwanted fat they want to get rid of safely and quickly - especially those challenging areas that don't respond to diet and exercise.
It is not a treatment for obesity, nor is it a substitute for good diet and exercise.
Our staff will help you determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure, but typically our patients are:
- In good general health.
- Within about 35 pounds of their ideal weight.
- Looking to target stubborn fat deposits.
- Wanting to avoid drastic surgery to improve their shape.
Is It Safe?
Yes. You're already familiar with ultrasound. It is a reliable technology that can be used in various ways. It is used to make images of a pregnancy, or to check cysts in the breasts. It is also used, at a different strength, to treat muscles, tendons, and other deep structures of the body. Transdermal Ultrasound Lipolysis is a new and different use of the same principle as other forms of ultrasound. This new use for ultrasonic energy was developed in Europe, and has been widely used there and in Asia in spas since 2005.
The treatment is not suitable for those who are pregnant, have kidney or liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes or poorly controlled hypertension, cancer patients, people on medicine for epilepsy, or people who have a pacemaker. It is not recommended for use on children.
